Trunk Club Teams Up with The Kimpton Gray Hotel To Provide a Quick Fashion Fix for Guests
Introducing the “Gray” Trunk Available Exclusively to Hotel Guests
Chicago, Ill., Nov. 17, 2017— Today The Kimpton Gray Hotel and Chicago-based personal styling service, Trunk Club, announce they have teamed up to give hotel guests exclusive access to Trunk Club’s styling services. Inspired by the aesthetic of the hotel, Trunk Club in partnership with The Gray has curated an exclusive “Gray” trunk available for purchase only to hotel guests.
Through a link on the amenities page of the hotel’s website, guests will be redirected to Trunk Club’s website, where they can sign up and connect with a stylist. From there, guests will be able to work with their Trunk Club stylist via email, phone or in person, to order a trunk inspired by their stay at The Gray. With flexible delivery dates, Trunks can be scheduled to arrive at the hotel prior to the guests stay, delivered when they return home or guests can visit Trunk Club’s Chicago Clubhouse located at 325 W. Ohio to be styled in person.
Whether staying at the hotel for business or pleasure, Trunk Club has curated featured Trunks for men and women, in which all items will rotate seasonally. “The looks that inspire the Trunks are hand-selected by our expertly trained stylists with the hotel’s guests in mind – smart, sophisticated, and stylish. The clothing in the trunk mirrors the colors, tones and patterns representative of the hotel, which have been translated into practical outfits to fit each guest’s unique wants and needs,” says Anna Wisniewski, Director of Content Strategy at Trunk Club. Each trunk will be hand-selected with merchandise from the collection to fit the guest’s preference. The Trunks will include an array of clothing from denim, tops, jackets, shoes and accessories. Trunk Club has a range of inventory that your stylist will pick based on your budget and style preferences.
To coincide with Kimpton’s “Forgot it? We’ve got it!” program, the concierge will also have Trunk Club gift cards on-hand for guests who may have forgotten an outfit or have had an outfit malfunction and need a quick fix. The gift cards can be used at Trunk Club’s Chicago Clubhouse - just one mile north of the hotel.
“Our guests are busy, and always on the go. Not to mention, when traveling, they don’t always pack for the weather, plan for the occasion, or simply forget an outfit essential. Through this partnership with Trunk Club, we hope to offer guests with a convenient option for all their fashion needs, providing a back-up plan to keep them from scrambling at the last second,” says Nabil Moubayed, Midwest Director of Operations Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
About Kimpton The Gray:
The Kimpton Gray Hotel, located in the historic New York Life Insurance building of the Chicago Loop is a 293 room hotel at 122 W. Monroe Street. With the origin of the name stemming from the building’s original Georgia Gray marble, The Gray has been fully revitalized into a space that celebrates a rich history and a decidedly tailored future. The guest rooms at The Gray are modern and minimalist, with a touch of irreverence. A textured gray palette is accentuated by powder blue, brass, and gold foil, with the occasional unexpected twist thrown in. It all comes together to create an impeccably tailored room that meets the highest of modern design sensibilities. The Gray, which opened in August of 2016, is the latest to join the three existing Kimpton properties in Chicago, making it the 7th property in the Midwest.
