Clothes You Can Workout and Hangout in
Winter getaway on the books? Whether you’re headed to Tahiti or Tahoe, we can help you pack. Since there’s a big difference between white sandy beaches and snowcapped mountains, we asked stylist Victoria to pull together some tips on packing for different climates. Choose your adventure, then check out her picks below.
Vitamin D, how we’ve missed you. Make sure you soak up as much of it as you can in new tees and shorts made with breathable materials like linen, cotton—or even terry cloth. “It’s not just for towels”, Victoria says. “This comfy cotton material has moisture-wicking properties, essential for warm climates.” While you’re at it, snag a new pair of swim trunks, too. We recommend a playful pattern—it’s vacation, after all.
Winter gear is serious business. If you’re planning on spending lots of time outdoors on your vacation, don’t skimp on a coat with a high fill power. Materials made for the elements, like wool and performance fabrics, are also great for layering. But if a hot toddy in the lodge is more your speed, Victoria recommends packing a pair of joggers. They aren’t just for lounging. “Black, slim-fit joggers can be dressed up with a chunky-knit sweater, a long overcoat, and loafers,” she says.
