Formal to Cozy: Looks for Valentine’s...
Outfit Inspiration
It seems these days that most workplaces have embraced casual Fridays, if not casual everydays. It's a trend we love, because it means even more chances to wear one of fashion's greatest inventions: denim. With that in mind, we put together nine different denim looks that can work for most any office.
We love white denim for more laid-back offices. It looks great with business-casual staples—navy blazers, nude shoes—as well as trendier styles. Fake a suit by pairing it with a white blazer and sneakers, or introduce some color with a statement jacket and suede slip-ons.
If you work in an artistic environment, let your wardrobe follow suit. Take some creative liberties and think beyond jeans—opt for a denim dress or jumper, or tuck a chambray top into something colorful. Here we show a floral pencil skirt, but palazzo pants would be chic, too.
Even if your corporate office has casual Fridays, you’ll probably still want to keep things a bit buttoned up. Dark bootcut denim mimics the look of trousers, particularly when there’s no contrast stitching. Dress it up with pumps, silk blouses, and jackets for maximum professionalism. On a business trip? Stay comfy yet classy with a trench and luxe loafers.
