It’s come to our attention that many women enjoy wearing jewelry. What’s more, some of these women are romantically linked to men who are Trunk Club members. Armed with this knowledge—and with Valentine’s Day right around the corner—we devised a way for Trunk Club men to get the perfect gift for the jewelry-loving women in their lives.
We asked our friends at Dana Rebcca Designs, the Chicago-based jewelry brand that’s wildly popular with our stylists, to put together a special Valentine’s Day selection. Each of our members can now order one of three options, including two necklaces and one pair of earrings. He simply tells his stylist what he wants, and we ship it out in a trunk—as long as we receive the order by February 8, when the gift service ends.
To learn more about the three different options, we caught up via email with Dana Gordon, the founder, designer, and director at Dana Rebecca Designs.
Trunk Club: What makes each piece of jewelry in this collection special?
Dana Gordon: The Lauren Joy necklace is the perfect everyday dainty necklace.

The Lauren Joy mini earrings are easy to wear, and easily transition from day to night. These were created as that simple, chic, and delicate piece that’s barely there. Just a hint of bling without going overboard.
TC: How do you help guys pick out the perfect piece for their significant others?
Dana: We want to know about your girlfriend, fiance, wife, etc. What does she look like? What does she wear a lot of? What does she do? These are all factors in helping us find the perfect piece. We never want a woman who dresses down at work to have a daily piece that is too blingy for her profession. We also love matching complexion and hair color with metals that best suit the person. We ask those questions to help make the gift perfect.

TC: Dana Rebecca Designs and Trunk Club have a close relationship. Back in December, our stylists voted you into almost every installment of the Stylist Holiday Gift Guide. What do you think accounts for the affinity between our brands?
Dana: The partnership between Dana Rebecca Designs and Trunk Club was just inevitable. We have a lot of the same philosophies when it comes to styling and really valuing the personal bonds we share with our clients. A huge majority of the stylists at Trunk Club are Dana Rebecca Designs supporters. It only seemed natural that since they were always buzzing about DRD that they could buzz about it directly to their clients.
TC: Do you remember the first piece of jewelry you ever received?
Dana: Of course! It was an emerald ring from my dad and it’s in safe keeping in my jewelry box.
TC: We know that your travels have influenced your work, but what about your home? How has Chicago inspired your designs?
Dana: I wouldn’t be where I am without Chicago. At the ripe age of 16 when I launched my company, Chicago was there to support me. Chicago has the most gorgeous skyline, the most inspiring community, and so much to offer. All of my designs are named after the woman in my life who have inspired me and I would say a majority of those woman are Chicagoans.
