Cold weather calls for outerwear, but the specific kind of outerwear depends on your location. Here in Chicago, we rely on robust options to keep us warm for what feels like the majority of the year—something that some of our team members can relate to more than others. We recently talked to a few guys who work at Trunk Club, but who aren’t from Chicago, about what they would be wearing this time of year in their hometowns.
“Rochester is in upstate New York, east of Lake Erie and south of Lake Ontario,” says Jeff, our lead photographer. “Nor’easters (big northeastern storm systems) pick up moisture from the lakes and just dump on Rochester.” Jeff now lives in Chicago, where we have our share of bitter cold, but his hometown faces much more snow and moisture. When Jeff gets ready to visit his folks for the holidays, he always packs a jacket that can stand up to the elements.
